Pune clinch the game with a ball to spare. This was the first win for RPS at their home ground in five matches. Third consecutive time MI have lost their first match of the season. This is also the highest total chased against Mumbai Indians ever. Steve Smith played a match winnings innings of 84 runs off 54 balls with 7 boundaries and 3 fours at a fantastic strike-rate of 155.56. Imran Tahir also took 3 wickets in his first match for them.
