The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has named the national team’s squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka, scheduled from February 17-21 at the Rangiri Dambulla International Cricket Stadium.

Ibrahim Zadran to Lead with Eye on World Cup:

While regular captain Rashid Khan continues his recovery from back surgery, Ibrahim Zadran, who led Afghanistan in the recent UAE and India T20I series, will continue at the helm. The series serves as crucial preparation for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, with Chief Selector Ahmad Shah Sulimankhil stating, “We want to create a strong mix of experienced and young players for the T20 World Cup.”

Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Mohammad Saleem Safi miss out due to injuries, opening doors for Wafadar Momand and Qais Ahmad.
