At the Women’s Asia Cup on Monday, Pakistan’s women defeated Sri Lanka’s women by a margin of five wickets. Omaima Sohail had already made a big impression, taking five wickets to help Pakistani women hold Sri Lankan women to 112 runs. Pakistan Women scored the goal in the competition’s 19th over.

Sri Lanka Women got off to a strong start and were 58/1 at one point. However, they lost the plot when Chamari Attapatu was down for 41, and Sohail started to come into her own. Eventually, in the game’s 19th over, they were bowled out for 112 runs.

Sri Lanka’s ladies lost the game due of the middle order and lower order’s subpar performance. But Pakistani batters should also be commended for their endurance. Ayesha Naseem provided the finishing touches if Nida Dar’s crucial 26 runs were the key. The game was headed for a close finish unless the latter team quickly scored a 5-ball 16.
