Zalmi bowlers first restricted Karachi Kings on their second lowest score of Pakistan Super League, then Batsmen of Zalmi finished the job in style. Peshawar had to play their second match of competition within 24 hours. They lost opening match after posting better total. Darren Sammy and his boys are up  to the mark from ball-1 of third match of Pakistan Super League.

After winning the toss and opting to field first, they picked up 4 quick wickets of Karachi Kings, jolted Kings batting line-up severely. Kings were 12 for 4 and all big guns back in to hutch (Gayle, Shahzaib, Babar and Sangakkara). Shoaib Malik 44 off 36, Ravi Bopara 33 off 40 and Kieron Pollard unbeaten 27 off 14 enabled them bowl at few runs. Zalmi’s every bowler did his job perfectly, but Hafeez was their out-standing bowler, his spell was 2 for 7 in 3 overs was superb.

Chase wasn’t tough one at middle, but Zalmi’s start was as bad as Kings, they were 2 for 2, when Hafeez and Kamran Akmal back to dug-out without shuffling the scorecard. Malan and Morgan steadily 46 runs partnership put them in a position where from onward they can win it easily. Morgan’s knock was amazing he remained not out on 80 runs while Haris Sohail made contribution of 13 runs in the run chase.
Player of the match was awarded to Eoin Morgan
