We all are excited as the T20 cricket world cup is not more than 10 days away from us, hype is building up for the tournament. Tickets are getting sold. Pakistan versus New Zealand and Pakistan versus India matches tickets were sold within a few hours.

Pakistan will be playing its first match against arch-rivals India on the 24th of October and their second match is on the 26th of October against their new rivals that are New Zealand. But there is something to worry about for Pakistan and that is the form of Muhammad Rizwan and Shadab Khan.

Muhammad Rizwan was phenomenal for Pakistan in recent times but his form took a dip in the ongoing National T20 cup whose second leg is going on in Lahore. Muhammad Rizwan has scored 210 runs in 7 innings at an average of 30 and strike rate of 125. among them 129 has been scored in the first two matches of the Nation T20 where he scored 65 runs against Central Punjab and 64 against Southern Punjab. While the remaining 81 runs have been scored in 5 innings.

Shadab Khan`s form has been dwindling for quite a long time. He looked in decent touch with the bat in the National T20 cup but horrible with the ball. While bowling in 7 innings he only took 4 wickets at an average of 52.25 and an economy rate of 8.36 which is a sign of worry for Pakistan as he is the only wrist spinner in the team for the T20 world cup squad while Usman Qadir is in travelling reserves.

With the bat, Shadab Khan has scored 94 runs in 5 innings at an average of 23.50 and a strike rate of 144.61. He also won his team a pressure match against Southern Punjab by hammering Naseem Shah who is in good nick for 23 runs in the 19th over and scoring 30 runs in total with 3 sixes and 1 four.

The concerns for the form of both players are genuine but we hope they will resolve these issues before the start of the T20 world cup.
