Icc has Announced the October Nominates for the player of the Month Awards. The nominates for October in the Men’s category are :
- Bangladesh Allrounder Shakib Al Hassan
- Pakistan’s Asif Ali
- Namibia’s David Weise
Asif Ali was in the limelight throughout the T20 World Cup because of his brilliant performances against the Newzealand and Afghanistan. Pakistan team was struggling against New Zealand in the match and then the Asif Ali show starts and he played a short Camero of 27 runs and won the match for Pakistan.
Most of the top-order batters, except for opener Mohammad Rizwan (33), struggled. Still, the experienced Malik (26 not out off 20 balls) and Number Seven Ali (27 not out off 12) flourished towards the end with a 48-run partnership for the sixth wicket to take Pakistan home with eight balls to spare.
Asif Ali also continued his blistering form in the Afghanistan match as well where he smashed 4 mighty sixes in the second last over of the bowler Jannat Karim and brought another victory for his team. He made 25 Runs in that match of just 7 balls and has been awarded as the man of the match as well in that match.
“Now Icc has nominated him for the player of the month award and lets Asif Ali win it or not with the other two members in the competition“.
Pakistan team is also in the semifinals of the T20 World Cup where they are going to face Australia on 11 November and it’s a knock-out game so whoever loses they will be going home and the winner will be going to face the winner of the first semifinal which is in between NewZealand and England today. The final of the tournament will be on Sunday 14 November.
