Bangladesh vs Afghanistan: Afghanistan entered the Super 4s after winning against Bangladesh

Asia Cup’s third match was played between Bangladesh and Afghanistan, today, on August 30th. Bangladesh had a terrific start as Mujeeb ur Rahman knocks Mohammad Naim over. Afghanistan got another wicket and Bangladesh was at 13/2 in 4 overs. Bangladesh was in trouble as they lost four of their wickets in just 10 overs with 44 runs. The partnership between Mahmudullah and Mosaddek was a very useful one. The big man, Mahmudullah was caught by Ibrahim Zadran.  Bangladesh finished at 127/7.

Afghanistan scored 45 runs in 9 overs with only one wicket down. Afghanistan needed 83 runs 65 balls. Mosaddek Hossain trapped Zazai for LBW. Najib and Ibrahim added 38 runs off 22 in the 17th over, which gave the advantage back to Afghanistan. Najibullah Zadran played a blinder. He scored a thrilling 43 off 17 balls with six sixes. Ibrahim Zadran also supported him well with 42 off 41. Afghanistan becomes the first team to qualify for the Super-4 with back-to-back wins.
