Countdown: Two Days to the Games! in the GT20 Canada

Just two days away from the action.  All eyes of the cricketing nation are in Canada now!  The highly-anticipated Season 2 of Global T20 Canada will officially kick off on Thursday, July 25, 2019, in Brampton, Ontario.  

As the countdown begins, the biggest stars in cricket are gearing up for this ultimate T20 Blockbuster of North America – Global T20 Canada.  Season 2 will open with Game 1 between the Toronto Nationals and the defending champion Vancouver Knights on Thursday, July 25, 2019, at 12:30 PM EST.  

Global T20 Canada and Bombay Sports, the mastermind that brought this annual cricket tournament to Canada last year, will be presenting a star-studded concert tomorrow night to launch this season’s games.  The concert will feature Bollywood and Punjabi singing sensation Guru Randhawa as well as all the players in this tournament.  The GT20 Trophy will also be unveiled at the concert.

“We are delighted to present this cultural concert to launch Season 2, celebrating the start of this cricket carnival of Canada.  Cricket is a sport that brings together people of all cultures together and we are proud to offer the best of cricket to the sporting nation”, says Gurmeet Singh, Chairman of Global T20 Canada and Chairman of Bombay Sports.

On top of a massive lineup of the world’s top cricketers, Global T20 Canada will also have the best of the best, the world’s top cricket presenters – with Erin Holland as Official Host of the League, and Simon Doull, Edward Rainsford and Mike Haseman as the Official Commentators, who will follow the action both on the field and off the field.

Tomorrow’s cultural concert will be held at the Pearson Convention Centre located at 2638 Steeles Avenue East in  Brampton, Ontario.  Tickets are available at the door, through TicketWindow.ca or by calling 1-877-700-3130.

The tournament runs from July 25 to August 11, 2019.  All the games will take place at the newly-built 5000-seat world-class cricket ground at the CAA Sports Centre located at 7575 Kennedy Road South in Brampton.
