The first season of the DP World International League T20 (ILT20) has been a massive success, with over 10 crore viewers in India, according to Zee Entertainment. The tournament was hosted across three cities in the UAE: Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah.

The Dessert Vipers and Gulf Giants faced off in the highly-anticipated finals on February 12th, with the former securing a 22-run victory over the Dubai Capitals to advance to the championship game. The Gulf Giants, on the other hand, defeated MI Emirates in the knockout stage to earn a spot in the finals against the Vipers.

The event was attended by high-profile figures such as Rahul Johri, the President Business of South Asia for Zee Entertainment Enterprises, Khalid Ali Zaroon, the DP World ILT20 Chairman, and Avram Glazer, the Owner of the Dessert Vipers.

Johri announced that the second season of the ILT20 will take place on January 13, 2024 and will be broadcasted live with commentary from Vivek Razdan.

The tournament featured six franchise teams, with over 100 international and 24 UAE-based players, including the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, Desert Vipers, Dubai Capitals, Gulf Giants, MI Emirates, and Sharjah Warriors. The players were spread across the franchises, owned by groups such as the Knight Riders Group, Lancer Capital, GMR, Adani Sportsline, Reliance Industries, and Capri Global.
