The Qualifier 1 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) concluded with Chennai Super Kings winning over Gujarat Titans by 15 runs to enter into the Finale of the tournament. CSK became the first team to qualify for the finale of the season.
Gujarat Titans had won the toss and elected to field first in the match.
Batting first, Chennai Super Kings made a total of 172 runs for the loss of seven wickets. Ruturaj Gaikwad made the most 60 runs for the team in the match from 44 deliveries with Devon Conway making the second most 40 runs in 34 deliveries.
Mohammed Shami and Mohit Sharma took two wickets each in the match for Gujarat Titans with Darshan Nalkande, Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmad taking a wicket each. Gujarat Titans conceded five extras to Chennai Super Kings while bowling in the match.
Gujarat Titans made 157 runs for the loss of 10 wickets in 20 overs in the match. Shubman Gill made the most 42 runs in 38 deliveries for the team in the match followed by Rashid Khan with 30 runs in 16 deliveries.
Deepak Chahar, Maheesh Theekshana and Ravindra Jadeja took two wickets each for Chennai Super Kings in the match with Tushar Deshpande and Matheesha Pathirana taking a wicket each. Chennai Super Kings conceded fourteen extras to Gujarat Titans while bowling in the match.
Chennai Super Kings won Qualifier 1 by 15 runs and entered into the IPL 2023 Finale.
