Nepal T20 League 2022: Biratnagar Super Kings join Janakpur Royals in Qualifier 2 after a heavy win over Kathmandu Knights

The Eliminator of the Nepal T20 League 2022 completed today with Biratnagar Super Kings finding a heavy win over Kathmandu Knights to join Janakpur Royals in Qualifier 2 which will be played tomorrow 10 January 2023.

In the match being played today, Biratnagar Super Kings won the toss and elected to bat first. Batting first, the team made a strong 182/6 in their 20 overs with Rohit Paudel finding another half-century for him in the tournament. He made 61 runs off 49 balls today to be the top run contributor for the team. Bibek Yadav provided a solid finish to the team scoring 46 not-out runs off just 18 balls, he scored 3 sixes and 3 fours to reach there.

Kamal Airee and Anil Kharel took two wickets each for Kathmandu Knights while Abinash Bohara and Gautam KC took a wicket each. Kathmandu Knights conceded 10 extras to Biratnagar Super Kings while bowling in the game.

Kathmandu Knights while chasing the target got summed up at just 83 runs in 12.4 overs as Surya Tamang shines for Biratnagar Kings who took 4 wickets in his only 16 deliveries conceding only 14 runs. Abinash Bohara was the top run scorer for Kathmandu Knights who scored 16 runs off 4 balls that helped the team go from 57/9 to 83/10 before the game ended in favour of the Biratnagar Super Kings.

With Surya Tamang shining in the bowling for Biratnagar Super Kings, Keon Joseph and Shahab Alam helped the team with two wickets each while Hussain Talat with a wicket in the game.

Biratnagar Super Kings won the game by 99 runs.

Rohit Paudel was the Player of the Match for his 61(49) in batting.

Qualifier 2 will be played tomorrow between Janakpur Royals and Biratnagar Super Kings. The winner of the Qualifier 2 will join Lumbini All Stars in the final of the inaugural edition of the Nepal T20 League.
