Nepal national cricket team is all set to tour Kenya at the end of August. Nepal will be playing five T20 International and three One Day matches.

As per the Cricket Associaton of Nepal (CAN)’s president, Chatur Bahadur Chand, The team will depart probably on 17/18 August. Skipper Sandeep Lamichhane will lead the side. Meanwhile, vice-captain Rohit Paudel will be given the captaincy in 50-over matches.

After the series, skipper Lamichhane will be flying to Carrabian to participate in Carrabian Premier League (CPL), which is commencing on 31st August. The Leggie will be playing for Jamaica Tallawahs.

The two highest ranked sides (after the participants are fixed) will get a seat in the T20 World Cup 2024, hence the tour is very important for Nepal as it will affect in team’s ranking. The ranking will be valid till 2022 November 14.
