New Zealand finds first win of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023

The 12th match of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 concluded today with New Zealand Women finding their first win of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023.

New Zealand Women won the toss in the match and elected to bat first.

Batting first, New Zealand Women made 189 runs at the loss of 3 wickets from their 20 overs. Suzie Bates made 81 runs off 61 balls being not-out in the game. Maddy Green made 44*(20), Bernadine Bezuidenhout 44(26) and Amelia Kerr 16(13) for the team. Sophie Deavine went a golden duck.

Fahima Khatun took two wickets for Bangladesh Women in the match with Shorna Akter taking a wicket. Bangladesh Women conceded 4 wickets to New Zealand while bowling.

Bangladesh Women 118 runs 8 in the second inning. Shorna Akter made the most of 31 runs off 22 balls for Bangladesh Women.

Eden Carson took three wickets and Hannah Rowe took two wickets for New Zealand Women while Lea Tahuhu and Amelia Kerr took a wicket each. New Zealand Women conceded 17 extras while bowling.

Suzie Bates was the Player of the Match for 81*(61) in batting.
