New Zealand’s Cricket-Packed Home Summer: Full 2025–26 Schedule Revealed

New Zealand Cricket has unveiled a cricket-packed home summer that fans won’t want to miss. With 46 days of back-to-back fixtures across formats, the 2025–26 season is shaping up to be a blockbuster. What’s most exciting is the strategic overlap of high-profile tours, the World Cup build-up, and cricket-packed home summer action featuring both the Black Caps and the White Ferns.

For the men, New Zealand will welcome Australia, England, the West Indies, and South Africa across formats, leading into the T20 World Cup next year in India and Sri Lanka. The cricket-packed home summer kicks off in October with three T20Is against Australia in Mount Maunganui, followed by a multi-format clash with England through November. The West Indies tour will be even more extensive, featuring five T20Is, three ODIs, and three Tests across seven weeks.

While the women’s team has no fixtures before their ODI World Cup in India and Sri Lanka this September-October, their home summer starts in February 2026 with a historic bilateral series against Zimbabwe—their first visit to New Zealand. Joint T20I double-headers with South Africa will follow this in March and a concluding ODI series will run into early April.

This season is also a significant nod to gender parity in the sport. The joint double-header series in March will see both men’s and women’s teams face South Africa in five T20Is, aligning fan engagement and stadium buzz. These double-headers mark a strategic move by NZC to promote women’s cricket as more than just a side act.

BlackCaps’ star Kyle Jamieson described the season as a “marquee summer,” applauding the quality of opposition and home support. Meanwhile, White Ferns’ Georgia Plimmer expressed her excitement for the 14-match home season, highlighting how double-headers provide “a great experience for teams and fans alike.”

In total, the cricket-packed home summer includes 25 matches for the men and 14 for the women, across nine venues.
