PAK vs NED: Pakistan won the first ODI by 16 runs against Netherlands

Pakistan’s skipper, Babar Azam, and left-handed Fakhar Zaman led the team to post 314 for 6. The duo put up a strong partnership of 168 runs. While Babar departed after scoring 74 runs, Fakhar lost his wicket on 109.

The Netherlands lost two of its wicket during the powerplay. Haris Rauf and the young debutant Naseem Shah, both picked up one wicket each in the Powerplay. After 25 overs, the Netherlands was at 108/3. The Dutch skipper Scott Edwards, kept the team on track. He brought up his fourth consecutive ODI fifty. Scott was supported by Logan van Beek and they both put up a partnership of 58 to keep the Netherlands in the hunt. However, the target seemed out of reach. The Netherlands scored 298 runs off 50 overs and lost to Pakistan by 16 runs. Pakistan created a strong momentum after winning the first match of the series.
