Pakistan vs India: The Greatest Rivalry

The T20 Asia Cup has begun yesterday with the opening match between Sri Lanka and Afghanistan. Afghanistan single-handedly won the match by 8 wickets. The second match of the T20 Asia Cup 2022 will be played between the arch-rivals Pakistan and India.

The last time when Pakistan and India faced each other in T20 World Cup 2021, history was rewritten. Pakistan beat India by 10 wickets. But this time, Pakistan’s bowling attack is not the same. Apart from Shaheen Afridi not being there, Imad Wasim is missing, and Hasan Ali is back at the last minute only because Mohammad Wasim got injured. That points to the ordinary form of Hasan.

On the other hand, India, too, is missing Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel, but they still look more settled coming into the Asia Cup. They are tactically much more switched on than they were earlier. However, come match day in T20 cricket, these things can all be blown out of the park. Especially when you play each other as infrequently as these teams do.

Fans Reactions:

Fans of both teams have been present in large numbers outside the practice area for the last three days, just to catch a glimpse of their cricketing heroes. Cricket Fans from all around the world are going all out with memes as Asia Cup brings the Twitter rivalry. It’s the day cricket fans have waited for. It’s India vs Pakistan. While the cricketers of both nations exchange pleasantries, cricket fans on microblogging site Twitter are leaving no stones unturned to remind us that the rivalries shall be on full display once the arch-rivals, India and Pakistan, take on the field.

Both Asian rivals will seek to dominate each other today, 28th August. It’s going to be a high-voltage affair.
