Qatar Cricket and Malaysia Cricket to host the 2024 T20 World Cup Asia Sub-Regional Qualifiers

Qatar Cricket Association and Malaysia Cricket Association are all set to host the sub-regional qualifiers for the Asian region in upcoming September and July respectively. Qatar Cricket Association will be hosting the sub-regional “A” group tournament in September 2023 while Malaysia Cricket Association will be hosting the sub-regional “B” group tournament in July 2023.

The “A” group tournament to take place in Qatar consists of four teams, namely, Qatar, Kuwait, Maldives and Saudi Arabia.

The “B” group tournament to take place in Malaysia consists of five teams, namely, Malaysia, Bhutan, China, Myanmar and Thailand.

The Sub-Regional Qualifiers will finalize two spots for the 2024 T20 World Cup Asia Regional Qualifiers. The winners of each Sub-Regional Qualifier will progress to the Asia Regional Qualifiers. Bahrain, Hong Kong, Nepal, Oman and Singapore are currently in the Asia Regional Qualifiers to be joined by the winners of each Sub-Regional Qualifier for Asia.
