RCB Women enjoys first win keeping knockout hopes alive in the WPL

The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) Women have found their first-ever win of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) as they chase the 136 runs target in 18 overs against UP Warriroz Women.

RCB Women had won the toss and elected to field first in the match.

Batting first, UP Warriorz Women made 135 runs in RCB Women’s bowling, before losing all wickets in 19.3 overs. Grace Harris was the player to score the most 46 runs for the team in 32 balls followed by Deepti Sharma and Kiran Navgire with 22 runs each in 19 and 26 balls respectively.

Ellyse Perry took three wickets for RCB Women in the match with Sophie Devine and Sobhana Asha taking two wickets each. Megan Schutt and Shreyanka Patil took a wicket each for the team in the match. RCB Women conceded 12 extras to UP Warriorz Women while bowling.

RCB Women started their chase with Sophie Devine and Smriti Mandhana. Smriti Mandhana got to duck out from 3, with Sophie Devine being out for 14 runs in 6 balls. Kanika Ahuja was the batter to score the most runs 46 for the team in 30 balls followed by Richa Ghosh who played a 31*(32) innings. Heather Knight contributed 24 runs from 21 to the team in the match.

Deepti Sharma took two wickets for UP Warriorz Women with Grace Harris, Sophie Ecclestone and Devika Vaidya taking a wicket each. UP Warriorz Women conceded 6 extras to RCB Women while bowling.
