It was a professional display by the stars after registering their second consecutive win of the season. Marcus Stoinis set the tone with his blistering knock of 61 early on.
Batting first Melbourne Stars put 169 in their 20 overs, Captain Maxwell played a knock of 39 while Daniel Sams picked up 2 wickets after giving away only 24 runs.
Run-chase faced a tough ask when Callum Ferguson and Alex Hales lost their wickets to the Stars bowlers. Liam Hatches picked up three scalps while Adam Zampa grabbed two wickets.
Adam Zampa was awarded as a player of the match for his brilliant bowling, he bowled an exceptional bowling spell of 2 for 10 in his four overs.
