Sudurpaschim Women won the Prime Minister’s Cup Women’s T20 National Cricket Tournament

The Prime Minister’s Cup Women’s T20 National Cricket Tournament concluded successfully in Nepal today with Sudurpaschim Women becoming the champions of the tournament. Sudurpaschim Women took a 6-wicket win over Province Number 1 Women to register for the championship in the tournament.

In the final and the last match of the tournament that was played in Janata Park, Itahari, Sunsari, Province Number 1 Women won the toss and elected to bat first.

Batting first, Province Number 1 Women made a total of 101 runs at the loss of 5 wickets from their 20 overs with opener Kajal Shrestha playing the not-out inning of 48 runs off 63 balls.

Manisha Chaudhary took two wickets for Sudurpaschim Women in the game with Ritu Kanoujiya taking a wicket. Sudurpaschim Women conceded 15 extras to Province Number 1 Women while bowling.

Sudurpaschim Women made 102 runs at the loss of 4 wickets in 19.4 overs to win the final match of the tournament. Samjhana Khadka contributed the most runs for the team while chasing the target of 102 runs. She contributed 27 runs off 33 balls.

Sabnam Rai, Rubina Chhetry, Sangita Rai and Hiranmayee Roy took a wicket each in the game for Province Number 1 Women. Province Number 1 Women conceded seven extras to Sudurpaschim Women while bowling in the game.

Sudurpaschim Women registered a six-wicket win over Province Number 1 Women to lift the tournament trophy where Samjhana Khadda from Sudurpaschim Women was the Player of the Match for her 27*(33) in batting.

Kabita Kunwar was the Player of the Series. She made 144 runs in total and took a total of two wickets in the tournament.
