India Women wins fourth, Nepal still searching for first win 

India women continued their winning streak in Aisa Women’s T20 Cup 2016. As Nepal women are still searching for their first win after four games, they played.

Nepal Women won the toss and elected to bat first but couldn’t make a difference and their team was all out on 63 in last over of their innings. Only one batter could cross double figures mark and other one was only Extras given by Thailand women bowlers. Their wicket keeper batter Jayuti Pandey made 16 runs while 11 runs were extras out of 63. Thailand women team’s captain used six bowlers and all were among wickets. They all took wickets; Tippoch and Liami were their standout bowlers, 2 for 5 and 2 for 7 respectively.

When Thailand came to chase down this small total, their openers Saengsakaorat and Chantam put 46 runs first wicket stand. Nepal was able to break first wicket partnership when Chantam tried to go hard at ball but finds Nary Thapa on the bowling of Magar. Magar took second wicket too and it was Boochatham’s wicket when she was clean bowled by her.  Saengsakaorat remained unbeaten on 27 and took her team cross over the line; this was their first win in Asia T20 Cup 2016.

India wins another match in this Asia Cup beating Sri Lanka, now they cement their place in the Final of competition. Batting first put 121 runs after winning the toss. Mithali Raj’s 62 helped them to reach at compatible score. Which Sri Lanka batters couldn’t chase down and failed to score freely. Sri Lanka women made 69 runs in their 20 overs at loss of 9 wickets. Only two batters crossed double figures. Preeti Bose and Bisht took 3 wickets each. India women will play their last league match against Nepal Women tomorrow.
