Falcons Target CPL 2025 Glory with World-Class Bowling Depth

The Antigua & Barbuda Falcons are turning heads ahead of the 2025 Caribbean Premier League season with a squad built around world-class bowling firepower and tactical versatility. Following the conclusion of the CPL 2025 player draft, the Falcons have emerged with a unit that blends international pedigree and Caribbean grit—an approach clearly focused on controlling games with the ball.

Kicking off the campaign against St Kitts & Nevis Patriots on August 14 at Warner Park, the Falcons will aim to set the tone early with their powerful bowling attack.

Global Experience Meets Caribbean Talent

The headline signing for the Falcons is none other than Shakib Al Hasan, the Bangladesh legend whose vast T20 résumé spans global leagues. His left-arm spin and calm under pressure are expected to play a pivotal role this season.

Adding variety and leadership is Imad Wasim, Pakistan’s T20 specialist, along with Afghan pace sensation Naveen-ul-Haq—a player known for his death-over mastery. These three form a solid international core with years of experience in top-flight cricket.

Complementing them is a fearsome regional bowling lineup. Obed McCoy and Rahkeem Cornwall, both seasoned CPL performers, have joined from the Barbados Royals. With Jayden Seales and Odean Smith bringing youth and pace, the Falcons now boast a bowling unit capable of adapting to any surface or match scenario.
