The 5th and the 6th matches of the Continent Cup T20 – Africa 2023 concluded today with Kenya and Uganda finding wins in their respective games. Kenya beat Botswana by eight wickets in the first match played today while Uganda beat Rwanda by eight wickets in the second match played today.
In Botswana vs Kenya match played today, Botswana made 92 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the first inning to post a small target of 93 runs to Kenya. Dhruvkumar Maisuria played the highest knock of 32 runs in 34 deliveries for the team in the match.
Shem Ngoche took three wickets for Kenya in the match with Vraj Patel and Rakep Patel taking two wickets each. Peter Langat took a wicket in the match to join the wicket-taking party of Kenya’s Men’s Team.
Kenya made 98 runs for the loss of two wickets in 10.1 overs and won the match by eight wickets. Rushab Patel made the most 465 runs in 24 deliveries for the team in the match.
Boemo Kgosiemang and Dhruvkumar Maisuria took a wicket each for Botswana in the match.
Kenya won the match by eight wickets.
In Rwanda vs Uganda match played today, Rwanda were all out for 81 runs in 18.1 overs of the first inning and posted a small target of 82 runs to Uganda. Kevin Irakoze made the most 18 runs in 15 deliveries for the team in the match.
Henry Ssenyondo and Siraje Nsubuga took three wickets each in the match for Uganda with Frank Nsubuga and Alpesh Ramjani taking two wickets each.
Uganda made 82 runs for the loss of two wickets in 9.1 overs to win the match by eight wickets. Robinson Obuya made the highest 33 runs off 19 deliveries for the team in the match.
Zappy Bimenyimana and Clinton Rubagumya took a wicket each for Rwanda in the match.
Uganda won the match by eight wickets.
