The Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2023 is off to a great start for some franchises, but unfortunately, not for the Smriti Mandhana-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). RCB has lost all of their matches played so far, prompting criticism of Mandhana’s tactics. However, some fans took things too far and resorted to abusing and spreading negativity on Mandhana’s Instagram account due to her poor performances.

RCB suffered an embarrassing defeat at the hands of Delhi Capitals in their first match, followed by another loss to Mumbai Indians where they were dominated by the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side. Their subsequent matches against Gujarat Giants and UP Warriorz also resulted in losses, leaving them in last place in the points table with zero points in four games. RCB will need to improve their situation going forward in the tournament.

Next up, RCB will face Delhi Capitals in the 11th match of the tournament. In their last encounter, Delhi Capitals emerged victorious, and Meg Lanning’s side will be hoping for a repeat performance. Mandhana, on the other hand, will be looking for ways to prevent yet another loss. Delhi Capitals have been in excellent form, and they will be eager to get back to winning ways after their previous defeat to Mumbai Indians.

In their previous game against UP Warriorz, Mandhana was unable to perform with the bat, continuing her poor form. However, she will be hoping for a change of fortune as RCB prepares for their match against Delhi Capitals.
