Five Nepali Women registered for the Women’s Premier League (WPL) Auction

Five Nepali Women players have registered their names for the auction of the inaugural edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) that is going to happen in Mumbai on 13 February 2023.

As per the information received, the five players from Nepal to register for the auction of the Women’s Premier League 2023 are Rubina Chhetry, Sita Rana Magar, Kabita Kunwar, Ashmina Karmacharya and Indu Barma.

The list of the Nepali Women cricketers who have registered for the upcoming Women’s Premier League Auction to happen on 13 February 2023 is as follows:

  1. Rubina Chhetry: Allrounder and Captain of Nepal Women
  2. Sita Rana Magar: Allrounder (Nepal Women)
  3. Kabita Kunwar: Fast Bowler (Nepal Women)
  4. Ashmina Karmacharya: Fast Bowler (Nepal Women)
  5. Indu Barma: Batter (Nepal Women)

The auction that is going to happen on 13 February 2023 will feature women players around the globe with up to 90 players to be sold. Each team can buy a minimum of fifteen players and a maximum of eighteen players in the auction. Teams in the auction can buy up to seven overseas players which must include at least one from an associate nation. With this, the playing XI of a team must also include an associate player compulsively.

The opportunity provided to the players from the associate nations will help improve the women’s cricket and overall cricket in the associate cricket world.
