The Guyana Amazon Warriors, runners-up in 2024, are approaching the CPL 2025 season with renewed focus and an all-star lineup. Backed by a tried-and-tested combination of international stars and seasoned local performers, the Warriors are poised to challenge for their elusive maiden title once again.
At the heart of the squad is Imran Tahir, the veteran spinner whose passion, experience, and tactical intelligence continue to inspire. As captain, Tahir’s leadership has played a central role in the team’s sustained competitiveness in recent seasons.
Moeen Ali and Glenn Phillips Add Global Class
Bolstering the Warriors’ firepower is England’s Moeen Ali, a globally respected all-rounder with a proven record in high-pressure games. His ability to contribute across departments adds both balance and flexibility to the side.
Another major boost comes in the form of Glenn Phillips, the explosive New Zealand batter known for his aggressive strokeplay and match-winning ability. Phillips has a strong record in the Caribbean and will be a critical asset in the middle order.
