The first day of the Kwibuka Women’s T20I Tournament 2023 concluded with Rwanda Women, Uganda Women and Nigeria Women finding a win each in the day and Uganda Women leading the group after the Day’s end.
In the Rwanda Women vs Botswana Women match played today, Rwanda Women was all out for 66 runs in the first inning. Botswana Women also got all out for 46 runs in the second inning of the match and Rwanda Women won the match by 20 runs and added two points in the group points table.
In the Uganda Women vs Botswana Women match, Uganda Women made 88 runs for the loss of six wickets in the first inning of the match. Botswana Women made 60 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the second inning of the match. Uganda Women won the match by 28 runs.
In the Rwanda Women vs Nigeria Women match played today. Rwanda Women made 87 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the first inning of the match. Nigeria Women made 88 runs for the loss of four wickets in 18.2 overs. Nigeria Women won the match by six wickets.
After the end of Day 1, Uganda Women are leading the group points table with two points and a solid 1.400 Net Run Rate (NRR). Nigeria Women are in the second position with two points and 0.450 NRR. Rwanda Women are in the third position with two points and 0.329 points followed by Botswana Women with no points and -1.200 NRR. Kenya Women will play their first match of the series tomorrow against Rwanda Women.
