The Pakistan Cricket Board has scheduled an outstanding inaugural ceremony at the Lahore iconic Gaddafi Stadium after its record reconstruction within a few months. It is see to reopen on February 7 in great splendor ahead of the Pakistan vs New Zealand match scheduled on February 8. The match is scheduled as a starting game of the tri-nation ODI series followed by the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 on February 19.

Under the stewardship of PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, the stadium has been transformed in just 117 days. Major upgrades include brighter LED floodlights, two new larger score screens, and comfortable imported seating in all enclosures, which ensures an unparalleled viewing experience for fans.

Fans can expect an electrifying mixture of music, fireworks, and celebration as big names Ali Zafar, Aima Baig, and Arif Lohar perform. Their performance will be supplemented by a brilliant drum and firework display and will end in a spectacular light show that would illuminate the skyline of Lahore. The ceremony is open to public viewing from 5:30 PM, graced by the presence of Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.
