As the anticipation for the Pakistan Super League (PSL 2024) season builds, concerns arise about the weather conditions in Lahore, one of the key venues for the tournament. Chief Meteorologist Chaudhry Aslam has provided insights into the weather forecast for February, aiming to ease anxieties among cricket enthusiasts.

According to the meteorological reports, the temperature during match times is projected to hover around 22 degrees Celsius. Currently, Lahore is experiencing dense fog; however, Aslam reassures that it will gradually diminish as February progresses. Importantly, he addresses the possibility of rain but emphasizes that it won’t be heavy, minimizing the risk of significant interruptions during matches.

“There is a chance of rain in the coming month but it will not be heavy, minimizing the risk of match interruptions,” Aslam stated in an interview with Geo News. He also highlighted that as February advances, an improvement in temperature is expected, leading to a notable reduction in fog, which will provide a clearer view for spectators.

Air pollution, a prevalent concern in Lahore, is also anticipated to decrease significantly during this period. The city is known for its high pollution levels, and the improved air quality will contribute to a more favorable environment for players and fans alike.

The PSL 2024 is set to kick off on February 17 with the first match between Defenders Lahore Qalandars and two-time champions Islamabad United. The tournament will be played across four venues, including Lahore, Karachi, Multan, and Rawalpindi. As fans gear up for the action-packed season, the weather forecast suggests a relatively favorable climate, offering hope for an uninterrupted and thrilling PSL experience in Lahore.
