IPL 2023: PBKS wins in Prabhsimran Singh’s century; DC slips in the run chase

The 59th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) concluded with Punjab Kings (PBKS) taking a 31 runs victory over Delhi Capitals (DC). Prabhsimran Singh hit a 65-ball 103 runs for PBKS in the match. DC slips in the run chase from a solid start of 65/0 in 6 overs.

Delhi Capitals had won the toss and had elected to field first in the match.

Batting first, PBKS made a total of 167 runs in the first inning of the match losing seven wickets. Prabhsimran Singh who was the centurion in the match was the top run-scorer for the team in the match.

Ishant Sharma took two wickets for DC in the match with Axar Patel, Praveen Dubey, Kuldeep Yadav and Mukesh Kumar taking a wicket each. Delhi Capitals conceded thirteen extras to Punjab Kings while bowling.

Delhi Capitals started the chase of 168 runs with David Warner and Phil Salt. David Warner played a 27-ball 54-run innings in the match to be the highest run-scorer for the team in the match with Phil Salt playing a 17-ball 21-run innings to be the second highest run-scorer for the team in the match. The Capitals made 136 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the second inning of the match being played.

Harpreet Brar took four wickets for Punjab Kings in the match with Nathan Ellis and Rahul Chahar taking two wickets each. Punjab Kings conceded four extras to Delhi Capitals while bowling.

Punjab Kings won the match by 31 runs.
