The Day 2 of the Kwibuka Women’s T20I Tournament 2023 concluded with Rwanda Women and Uganda Women finding a win each and Nigeria Women finding two wins.
In the Kenya Women vs Rwanda Women played today, Kenya Women made 91 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the first inning with Venasa Ooko making the most 30 runs in 23 deliveries. Josiane Nyirankundineza and Henriette Ishimwe took two wickets each for Rwanda Women in the match with Belise Murekatete and Rosine Irera taking a wicket each.
Rwanda Women made 95 runs for the loss of two wickets in 15.5 overs and won the match by eight wickets. Henriette Ishimwe made the most 49* runs in 36 deliveries for the team in the match. Lavender Idambo and Queentor Abel took a wicket each for Kenya Women in the match.
In the Botswana Women vs Nigeria Women played today, Botswana Women made 97 runs for the loss of six wickets in the first inning with Shameelah Mosweu making the most 26 runs in 52 deliveries. Lucky Piety and Favour Eseigbe took two wickets for Nigeria Women in the match with Oseyande Omonkhobhio taking a wicket.
Nigeria Women made 98 runs for the loss of four wickets in the second inning of the match and won the match by six wickets. Blessing Etim made the highest 26 runs in 22 deliveries for the team in the match. Goabilwe Matome took two wickets for Botswana Women in the match with Tuelo Shadrack taking a wicket.
In the Rwanda Women vs Uganda Women match, Rwanda Women made 80 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the first inning of the match with Gisele Ishimwe making the most 33 runs in 41 deliveries. Evelyn Anyipo took four wickets for Uganda Women with Stephani Nampiina and Irene Alumo taking three and a wicket respectively.
Uganda Women made 84 runs for the loss of three wickets in 18.1 overs and won the match by seven wickets. Kevin Awino and Janet Mbabazi made the most runs for the team with 34 runs each from 49 and 52 deliveries respectively. Margueritte Vumiliya took two wickets for Rwanda Women in the match.
In the Kenya Women vs Nigeria Women played today, Kenya Women made 95 runs for the loss of four wickets in the first inning with Queentor Abel making the most 51 runs in 55 deliveries. Favour Eseigbe took two wickets for Nigeria Women in the match.
Nigeria Women made 98 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 16.4 overs of the second inning of the match and won the match by three wickets. Lucky Piety made the most 32* runs in 27 deliveries. Queentor Abel took three wickets for Kenya Women in the match with Esther Wachira and Melvin Khagoitsa taking two and a wicket respectively.
After Day 2, Nigeria Women are at the top of the points table with three wins from three. Uganda Women with two wins are second on the list followed by Rwanda Women with two wins and less NRR than Uganda Women. Botswana Women are in the fourth position in the points table and Kenya Women are in the fifth position in the points table.
