Netherlands Men’s A International Series: Italy summed up for 88 runs in the Netherlands A’s defending

Italy is currently touring the Netherlands for the Netherlands Men’s A International Series. The first match of the series had completed today with Netherlands A finding a 42-run victory over the visitors Italy.

Netherlands A had won the toss and elected to bat first in the match.

Batting first, Netherlands A made 130 runs for the loss of 10 wickets in the first inning of the match. Michael Levitt was the top run scorer for the team with 36 runs in 37 deliveries. Sebastiaan Braat followed M Levitt with 35 not-out runs in 29 deliveries.

Singh Jaspreet and Stefano Di Bartolomeo took three wickets each for Italy in the match with Ali Hasan, Abdul Haseeb Khan and Crishan Jorge Priyantha Feerna Kalumage taking a wicket each. Italy conceded four extras to the Netherlands A in the match.

Italy made 88 runs for the loss of 10 wickets in 18.5 overs while chasing the target in the second inning of the match. Singh Jaspreet made the most 40 runs in 42 deliveries for the team in the match followed by Syed Zain Naqvi with 11 runs in 13 deliveries.

Olivier Elenbaas took four wickets for Netherlands A in the match with Kyle Klein taking two wickets. Clayton Floyd and Vikramjit Singh took a wicket each to join the wicket-taking party.

Netherlands A won the match by 42 runs and leads the series 1-0.
