The EPIC Group All Star Series 2.0 is underway. The series started on November 4, 2022, and had its 2nd and 3rd matches today.
The first match today was between Hong Kong Islanders (HSI) and New Territories Tigers (NTT). Winning the toss, NTT elected to field first.
Batting first, HKI was able to make 134/7 playing full overs. Hassan Khan Mohammad was the top scorer for HKI in the game making 25 not-out runs playing 13 balls. HKI Captain Aizaz Khan made 24 runs off 29 balls and Kinchit Shah made 23 runs off 26 balls. The other scorers includes Ninad Shah 6(9), Muhammad Khan 1(6), Haroon Arshad 17(16), Mohammad Awais 14(12), Ehsan Khan 11(7) and Aftab Hussain 2*(2).
Bowling against HKI in today’s first match, NTT used 6 bowlers. Ayush Shukla was the bowler from NTT to take a maximum of two wickets for the team. Jason Davidson, Mohammad Waheed, Dan Pascoe and Akbar Khan took one wicket each for the team. Mudassar Hussain remained empty-handed in terms of picking wickets in the game.
Batting in the second inning, NTT chased down the target in 19.5 overs. They made 138 runs losing 5 wickets with 1 ball remaining of their 20 overs. Opener Mohammad Ishaq made 62 runs off 54 balls while Akbar Khan and Jason Davidson made 24(34) and 15(13) respectively. Ehsan Ayaz 2(3) and Dan Pascoe 9(7) were the two other scorers for the team NTT. NTT Captain Babar Hayat and another player Waqas Khan remained duck-out in the game. They faced 2 and 6 balls each.
NTT provided 11 extras to HSI while HSI provided 26 extras to NTT in the game.
Mohammad Ishaq was the Player Of The Match. He had made 62(54) while batting.
In the second game of the day, Kowloon Lions (KL) faced New Territories Tigers (NTT).
Winning the toss, KL elected to bat first. Batting first, they managed to make 153/5 in the first inning. Zeeshan Ali and Yasim Murtaza made 67(49) and 48(48). Captain Nizakat Khan and Nasrulla Rana were the other players to score for the team. Nizakat made 17(17) and Nasrulla made 1(1). Shiv Mathur, Waqas Barkat and Jayden Botfield couldn’t add any runs for the team.
Ayush Shukla and Mohammad Waheed are the two bowlers from NTT to take wickets for the team. They took 2 and 3 wickets respectively in the game.
NTT came to bat in the second inning to chase the target of 154 runs. But, they were packed at 139 runs in 20 overs. Captain Babar Hayat 28(18), Ehsan Ayaz 26(24), Jason Davidson 26(19), Akbar Khan 11(8), Dan Pascoe 11(6), Waqas Khan 8(11), Mudassar Hussain 5(6), Ansh Doshi 4(11), Ayush Shukla 4(4) and Mohammad Waheed 3*(5) were the scorer for the team. An opener Mohammad Ishaq went duck-out playing 8 balls.
Bowling against NTT, KL used 8 bowlers in the match. Daniel Mapp and Nasrulla Rana took 3 wickets each. Yasim Murtaza, Nizakat Khan and Waqas Barkat took one wicket each. One player from NTT was run out.
Zeeshan Ali was the Player Of The Match in the match between KL and NTT.
