The Jamaica Tallawahs won the opening game of the 2023 CPL, defeating the Saint Lucia Kings by 11 runs.
The Tallawahs batted first and were put in by the Kings. Captain Brandon King led the way with a brilliant innings of 81 from 53 balls, which included 12 fours. The Tallawahs finished on 187 all out.
The Kings struggled in their chase, with the experienced spin duo of Chris Green and Imad Wasim taking early wickets. Roston Chase top-scored for the Kings with 53, but it was not enough as they finished 176-8.
