Mahmudullah Riyad to play for Quetta Gladiators

Bangladeshi all-rounder Mahmudullah will replace Australian Brad Hodge in Quetta Gladiators’ HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2017 squad.

Brad Hodge had to unfortunately withdraw from the tournament due to personal reasons. Mahmudullah Riyad is a seasoned campaigner in the T20 format with 130 matches in this format. He is a very good all-rounder. Mahmudullah’s batting stats are very much impressive (2272 and 64 not out is his career best). He is also very good with ball in hand ( 59 wickets).

Mahmudullah recently played for Khulna Titans as as their captain, where he batted amazingly but he was economical with bowl too. More importantly bowling last over of innings and provided his team two match winning last overs. It means he can bowl death overs and power play overs too. He is a great addition of Quetta’s fire-power.

The second edition of the league begins on February 9 with a clash between defending champions Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi at the Dubai International Stadium.
