Azam Khan, a hard-hitting batter from Pakistan, recently scored a magnificent century while playing for the Khulna Tigers in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). In a match against the Chattogram Challengers, Khan smashed 109 not out off of 58 balls, including nine boundaries and eight maximums, to help lead his team to a score of 178-5 in 20 overs.

This impressive performance comes after a poor season in the Lanka Premier League (LPL) last year, where Khan scored only 30 runs in five innings while playing for the Galle Gladiators. He also sustained an injury during the LPL.

Khan made his T20 debut for the Pakistan national team in July 2021 against England in Nottingham but was dropped after three matches in which he scored just six runs. Despite this setback, Khan remains eager to make a comeback to the national team. He recently stated, “I’m satisfied with my performance after playing in leagues around the world. I’m always eager to play for the national team, and it is now up to the selectors to select me. I will try to perform well if I’m selected to play for Pakistan.”

It is clear that Azam Khan is a talented and dedicated player, and his recent success in the BPL is a testament to this. His century against the Chattogram Challengers was a standout performance that showcased his power and skill at the crease. It is likely that this performance will be noticed by national team selectors and could lead to Khan being considered for a place on the team once again.

While his stint with the Pakistan national team was short-lived, Khan has clearly not let this discourage him. He has continued to work on his game and improve his skills, and it seems to be paying off. If he can continue to perform well in domestic and international leagues, it is certainly possible that he could earn another opportunity to represent his country.

Overall, Azam Khan’s success in the BPL is a promising development for both him and Pakistan cricket as a whole. It will be interesting to see how he progresses in the coming months and whether he is able to earn a place back on the national team.
